We decided to try Chiwa Bistro, as it was my first time dining there. The restaurant's decor is certainly eye-catching, and the extensive menu--more like a book--offers a huge variety of options, which can feel a bit overwhelming. Unfortunately, the food itself turned out to be just okay, though the service was excellent. Despite its location in a busy area, we went on a Friday night and had no wait, which was a pleasant surprise. I also appreciate that all the utensils are neatly wrapped in a paper enclosure. Service: Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend ordered ramen and assumed it included a seasoned egg, but it turns out eggs are not included in the menu. When we asked if one could be added, our server happily accommodated the request. Food we ordered (Although the portions are generous, I just wish the food lived up to the quantity): -Atlantic Spicy Tuna Sushi with Avocado - Just okay. -Popcorn Chicken with Garlic Flavor & Plum Sauce - Good. -Chicken Katsu Ramen with Seasoned Egg - Good. -Chicken Katsu Curry Platter - Disappointing. The curry sauce was overly salty, the broccoli lacked flavor, and the chicken was a bit overcooked. Final Thoughts: The restaurant feels more like a tourist attraction with great service, but the food didn't impress me. I wouldn't rush back, but it might still be worth trying for the experience.

I've visited Chiwa Bistro countless times. The service is always great. Every meal comes out in a timely manner and consistently delicious. I often order Chiwa Bistro on my lunch breaks, or doordash it for a quick craving.

Stopped by this place on our way to DC. It had such a cute atmosphere and vibe with colorful lanterns inside. It was a happening place. For a party of five, we waited about 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food we ordered was delicious, a good size, reasonably priced and hit the spot. I would definitely recommend it for those wanting to check it out.

I'm always in the mood for dumplings so we decided to give Chiwa Bistro a try. Located at the Christiana Mall (down from Barnes & Noble's) this casual, beautifully decorated space was welcoming. We were seated right away (no waiting) and the server brought our menus quickly. The menu was quite large with many options of sushi, boa buns, and sake. It was almost overwhelming- but in a good way. We started with the pork fried dumplings, which were delicious. The hubby ordered the Tozai Sake ( he enjoyed very much) and the Chicken buns. Next was the Wonton Soup - it was very tasty. The Wonton was filled with shrimp, and cilantro was sprinkled in the broth - amazing!!! The hubby got the Curry Katsu Plate and I got the Boston sushi roll. I enjoyed my sushi - it was fresh and flavorful. The hubby was not impressed with the Curry Katsu plate - he was expecting more flavor with a curry dish and this was not that. But we will be back, the large menu has so many options to choose from we will attempt to try them all. The friendly service and pleasant atmosphere made this visit positive!

Everything we tried was delicious, from the Inferno Ramen (go with the pork) to the delicious BBQ Pork Buns and everything the kids tried. The restaurant was small but the decor was great. Way better than we expected from mall food!

A very nice spot for Japanese food. Good selection of appetizers and dim sum, sushi, ramen etc... noodles and rice too. The atmosphere is bright colorful and cheerful with plenty of seating and room to maneuver. Staff if friendly and helpful. Food is tasty and fresh.

Cute and aesthetic spot connected to the Christina mall. The menu has a larger variety of options. I ordered the beef udon and it's super good, like beef sukiyaki.
